China: Sinopec to Start Beihai LNG Construction

Sinopec of China plans to start construction on the Beihai LNG project in Guangxi Province at the end of August.

Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Corporation (LPEC) is the basic design provider and EPC contractor of this LNG project, the company said in a statement.

The project will be completed by September 30, 2015, the statement said.

A coordination meeting for the LNG project was recently held in Beihai and it was chaired by Mr. Shi Dianyi, the vice president of SINOPEC Natural Gas Company. Mr. Zhang Xinming, the president assistant of LPEC and Mr. Guo Weijun, the project manager of LPEC participated in the meeting.
