CNOOC appoints new BoD chairman

China’s CNOOC informed that Wang Yilin has resigned from his positions as chairman of the board, chairman of the nomination committee and non-executive director of the company.

Yang Hua, currently a non-executive director of the company, has been appointed as the new chairman of the board and chairman of the nomination committee of the company. In addition, Yang will no longer serve as vice-chairman of the board.

The changes became effective on May 19, the company informed in a statement.

Yang joined CNOOC in 1982 and has over 30 years of experience in petroleum exploration and production.
