CNOOC issues second LNG tender

China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has reportedly issued a second tender offering a cargo from the QCLNG project in Australia.

The tender issued on November 4 will close on November 10 with loading date set for December 25-26, ICIS reports.

CNOOC, that is offering the cargo due to high inventories and low domestic demand, is seeking bids on a DES fixed-price basis, according to the report.

The report added that CNOOC’s receiving terminals are close to full capacity while the recent blast in the Tianjin port has affected imports to the 145,000 cbm GDF Suez Cape Ann FSRU. Tighter regulations on imports mean the FSRU has not been active since August 8.
