COOEC Wraps Up Construction for Jinzhou Demolition Project

Recently, Jinzhou 20-2SW platform jacket was successfully lifted and fixed in the sea area where Jinzhou 20-2 oil-gas field is located in Liaodong Bay of Bohai Sea.

The project brought an end to the 26-year service of Jinzhou 20-2SW platform while marking that COOEC has successfully completed the offshore construction for “Demolition Project of Jinzhou 21-1WHPA/Jinzhou 20-2SWPlatform and Disposal of Relevant Submarine Pipelines and Cables”.

The project not only covers the demolition of the modules and jackets of Jinzhou 21-1WHPA and Jinzhou 20-2SW platforms, but also involves the demolition, disposal and recovery of flare booms, submarine pipelines and cables, expansion bends and other structural attachments, being the first of such projects in China.

The successful completion of the project not only marks China has been capable of dismantling offshore monoblock oilfield, but also lays a solid foundation for the company to expand international market.
