Brodosplit Enters Engine Deal with Brodotrogir

Brodosplit-Diesel Engine Factory Ltd. and Croatian shipbuilder Trogir Ltd. have signed a contract for the construction of two main engines that will be installed in Hull 325 and Hull 326.

The vessels are tankers intended for transportation of chemicals and oil products, with capacity of 49500 dwt that will be built by the Brodotrogir shipyard for shipping company Trogir Maritime Ltd.

The engines are designed under licence of MAN Diesel & Turbo, type 6S50ME-B9.3 TII with M(aximum)C(ontinious)R(ating) of 8680 kW at 103 r/min. A fuel oil consumption at optimised point is 159,3 g/kWh at 90 r/min, meaning more than 23,5 t of fuel oil per day.
