Cryogas’ LNG terminal construction to start in February

Leningrad Region authorities informed that the construction of a terminal for production and transhipment of LNG on the territory of the Vysotsk port will begin in February 2016.

The project’s progress has been discussed during the meeting between Leningrad Region’s governor Alexander Drozdenko and representatives from Gazprombank and Cryogas, a statement by the authorities reveals.

The project, proposed by Cryogas, a Gazprombank company, entails the construction of liquefaction and transhipment facilities with a production capacity of 660,000 tonnes of LNG pear year.

According to the Leningrad Region authorities, the project also includes the construction of a gas lateral from the main gas pipeline via Vyborg to the border.

The project investment costs of about RUB50 billion will be financed by Gazprombank.
