Cuxhaven Builds Moorings for Offshore Construction Vessels (Germany)

Cuxhaven is planning to strengthen its position as a location for offshore wind energy with a million euro investment.

The mooring in the port should be prepared for the so-called jack-up vessels, said on Thursday the State Agency for Water Management, Coastal Defence and Nature Conservation in the North. The ships will be used to transport parts and build wind turbines at sea. These vessels have retractable legs with which they can support themselves on the seabed.
