Dabhol LNG Terminal Gets Cargo

India’s Dabhol LNG import terminal has received a spot liquefied natural gas cargo on Sunday onboard the 135,000 cbm Iberica Knutsen.

Ratnagiri Gas and Power (RGPPL) received the cargo from Nigeria’s Bonny terminal.

It was the sixth successful unloading of LNG cargo since commissioning (of the terminal) in January,” RGPPL Deputy Managing Director A K Jana told The Economic Times.

The Dabhol LNG terminal, located at Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, 340 km south of Mumbai, is owned by RGPPL, a joint venture of GAIL (India) Limited and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), who are the major shareholders, with remaining equity held by financial institutions and Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). GAIL is the commercial operator of the terminal.
