Denmark’s first LNG bunkering facility opens
Fjord Line informed that it has opened Denmark’s first LNG bunkering facility in the Port of Hirtshals.
With this facility, the company can refuel their two LNG-powered cruise ferries both in Norway and Denmark, but is open to third parties as well, the company informed in a statement.
The LNG bunkering facility has a capacity 500 cbm of LNG and will complement the similar station owned by Skangas in Risavika where Fjord Line ferries load.
Liquiline LNG has been responsible for the design, construction and project management of the new terminal. The terminal is supplied with Liquiline monitoring system, LiquiSys.
