Det Norske: Geite Bears No Hydrocarbons
Norwegian operator Det Norske is preparing to plug and abandon the Geite prospect in the North Sea.
The company said that the 7/11-13 well, which was spudded in Mid-September, reached Triassic reservoir, but without hydrocarbons. The well, located west of Ula field in the Norwegian part of the North Sea, was drilled by the Maersk Guardian jack-up rig.
Det norske oljeselskap is the operator with 35% and the other partners are Dana (25%), Bridge Energy (15%) and Lotos (10%).
