Shell tasks AGR with workforce provision for its ops in Norway

Norske Shell, a subsidiary of the UK-headquartered energy giant Shell, has entrusted AGR, part of the Oslo-listed energy and marine consultancy Aqualis (formerly ABL Group), with the task of supplying human capital for its onshore and offshore operations in Norway.

AGR has secured a frame agreement contract with Norske Shell, operator of Ormen Lange, for the provision of specialist workforce for the project and onshore and offshore operations in Norway. This deal is valid for four years, with optional two-year periods.

The assignment will enable long-term workforce and consultants for Norske Shell’s resourcing needs in areas such as drilling and wells, well planning, well intervention, superintendents, offshore management and execution, and well engineering advisory support.

The company’s technical staffing and resourcing business has, through numerous acquisitions, united the recruitment expertise and track record from several established brands on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), including AGR Consultancy, Ross Offshore and Techconsult.

The consolidated team is said to offer access to more than 26,000 technical professionals, supported by recruiters operating from four locations across Norway.

ABL, which is also part of Aqualis, played a role in ONGC’s preparation for the monsoon season by helping reposition the rig fleet deployed offshore India.
