Deutsche WindGuard Offers Type Testing for Wind Turbines

Wind energy consultant Deutsche WindGuard now offers the full range of type testing required in the frame of type certification of wind turbines. The accreditation of the newly established service load measurement on wind turbines completes the accreditation scope.

Type Testing Measurements are a main part of the Type Certification process each new type of wind turbine has to pass. It consists of several measurements, for example power performance measurement, load measurement and a safety and function test. Further tests like power quality tests, low voltage ride through test and acoustic noise measurements are optional.

“We can offer the full scope of type testing now,” says Axel Albers, Managing Director of Deutsche WindGuard Consulting and Head of its Testing Laboratory. “We have experienced in the past that some of our customers attach great importance to getting all tests from one single source. We are happy to meet these demands now.”

Deutsche WindGuard Consulting GmbH is accredited by Deutsche Akkreditie-rungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) as a testing laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 for Measurement of Wind Turbine Power Curves; Wind Measurements at Sites and Potential Sites of Wind Turbines; Site Specific Energy Yield Evaluations for Wind Farms; Site Suitability Studies; Determination of Noise Immission; Determination of Shadow Immission; Noise Emission Measurement and Noise Immission Measurement, as well as Load Measurement on Wind Turbines.
