Deutsche WindGuard Re-Accredited for Wind Turbine Inspection

The German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) has renewed the accreditation of Deutsche WindGuard for inspection of wind turbines.

Every five years, an accreditation must be renewed based on a fundamental re-examination by the DAkkS.

“We see ourselves confirmed in our work,” said Jan Wallasch, Deutsche WindGuard“Our reports are accepted without problems by all licensing authorities and insurers.”

As part of the latest evaluation, the accreditation has been extended for testing of continued operation of the wind turbines and the examination of operational wind energy areas.

The examination of operational wind energy areas plays an important role, especially in offshore wind. Among other things, the structure of a helicopter platform must also be checked regularly. “We therefore offer the full range of technical examination at all life stages of onshore and offshore wind turbines,” Wallasch said.
