Dolphin Geophysical Appoints New Geophysicists (UK)

Dolphin Geophysical announced the appointment of three experienced Geophysicists who have recently joined in senior positions, reporting to Dr Gareth Williams, Chief Geophysicist.

Sergio Grion has joined as Geophysical Research Manager and is based in the UK office in Tunbridge Wells. Sergio has previously worked for WesternGeco and CGGVeritas in various R&D roles and was most recently head of multi-component research at CGGVeritas. Sergio’s role will cover all aspects of processing algorithms with particular emphasis on developing new broadband, multi-component and multi-sensor processing capabilities.

Stuart Denny, Geophysical Technology Manager, is based in the Houston office. Stuart has previously worked at Digicon, Veritas and CGGVeritas and brings a broad knowledge of leading edge acquisition technologies. Stuart will work closely with both Bjarne’s group in Bergen and Sergio’s team in the UK and will focus on new approaches to the geophysics of acquisition techniques.

Rich Bartlett, based in the UK office, has joined as the Depth Imaging Manager. Rich has previously worked in depth imaging at CGGVeritas and more recently for Monarch Geophysical Services where he oversaw PSDM projects at many of the major UK contractors. Rich will help guide the Open Geophysical team in the development of depth imaging and model building software and will also build a depth imaging team in the UK to work alongside the Onshore Processing time imaging team.
