Dutch Dignitaries Visit Afai Shipyard

Mr. Karel Hartogh, Director of Department of Asia and Oceania at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands and Ms. Anne Luwema, Consul General of Netherlands Consulate in Guangzhou recently visited Afai Shipyard.

The Director of DAMEN Fast Ferry, Mr. Henk Grunstra , DAMEN Site Manager, Mr. Bert and General Manager of Afai, Mr. Wu Mingyi met the guests.

Mr. Henk Grunstra introduced the layout and developing situation of DAMEN in China, and the close cooperative relationship of DAMEN Group and Afai, showed DAMEN’s high quality aluminum vessels built in Afai, including two ROPAX FERRIES 85m，two FAST FERRY 38m，one WAVE PIERCING CATAMARAN，eight FAST FERRIES 42m，one Fast Ferry 36m，ten WATERBUSES 32m etc..

Mr. Henk Grunstra said that DAMEN’s sale and service of vessels are all over the world, and the quality of DAMEN’s vessels built in China is not different from the vessels made in Europe, meanwhile approved the construction quality of aluminum vessels built in Afai.

The guests visited the production facility and vessels under construction as well, approved the cooperative mode and achievement of Damen and Afai who overcome the culture difference and cooperate closely, and hoped both sides continue to deepen the friendship and strengthen the cooperation.
