Dutch Gate terminal hits LNG trucking milestone

Dutch Gate terminal in the port of Rotterdam, a unit of Gasunie and Vopak, said it reached on January 14 the 1000th loading at its truck loading facility.

According to a statement by Gate, since the start-up of the terminal’s first LNG truck loading facility in January of 2014, 15 different customers have used the truck loading service.

“Truck loading has shown a strong increase to all market segments; off grid industrial applications, cleaner fuel for trucks, for barges and for seagoing vessels,” Gate said.

Gate is also building the second loading station, which will increase the terminal’s capacity to 10,000 trucks per year.
