Dutch Students to Build the Fastest Model Sailing Boat

Together with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and the Rotterdam Shipping and Transport College (STC-GROUP), MARIN will again challenge students to design, manufacture and sail the fastest model sailing boat.

On January 18, about 15 teams will compete during the traditional Design & Sailing Contest at MARIN’s test facilities in Wageningen.

By holding this annual contest MARIN wants to contribute to the practical experience of students and give new ideas a chance to develop into future possibilities. All students participating in the ´Sailing yachts´ course of TU Delft and STC are challenged to apply their knowledge, inspiration and creativity to design and build the fastest model sailing boat of the Netherlands.
