EDF, DONG Seek Marine Warranty Surveyor for French OWFs

Eolien Maritime France, a subsidiary of EDF EN France and DONG Energy, is looking for Marine Warranty Surveyor service providers for three French offshore wind farms.

The three wind farms are planned to be installed off Fécamp, Courseulles-sur-mer and Saint-Nazaire.

Marine Warranty Surveyor services to be provided for the wind farms will cover all offshore activities of the projects, in particular the foundations, cables, offshore substation and wind turbines.

The requirements may cover the anticipated services before Notice to Proceed dates, the engineering phases, the onshore attendance and the offshore attendance for transportation and installation activities when applicable, Eolien Maritime France said in an invitation for tenders.

Deadline for the submission of tenders is 17 February, 2016.

In 2012, the European consortium led by EDF won the French offshore wind energy call for tenders for the three named sites.

Fécamp offshore wind farm is expected to have 83 turbines and a total capacity of 498MW, the 450MW Courseulles sur-Mer project will consist of 75 turbines, and the 480MW wind farm off Saint Nazaire will be home for 80 wind turbines.
