Elengy, a unit of the French energy company and LNG player Engie, said on Thursday that its Fos Tonkin terminal on the shores of the Mediterranean achieved a daily record in the number of truck loadings.

The terminal loaded 11 trucks with the chilled fuel on September 11, Elengy said in a brief social media statement.

Elengy announced in July it has boosted the capacity at the LNG terminal from 8 to 11 truck loadings per day.

The delivery of LNG by truck can meet the needs of off-grid industrial sites, filling stations for LNG as fuel for vehicles, or LNG bunkering of small vessels.

Besides the Fos Tonkin terminal, Elengy also operates the Fos Cavaou terminal and the Montoir-de-Bretagne facility.

The LNG terminal operator recently also boosted truck loading capacity at its Montoir terminal to 18 LNG truck loadings per day, compared with 12 previously.
