Eni Spuds Salina Well (Norway)
Swedish oil and gas company Lundin Petroleum, has announced that Eni Norge has begun the drilling of well 7220/10-1 in PL533 on the Salina prospect in the Barents Sea.
The well, previously known as Pulk, is situated 54 km to the south west and on geological trend with the Skrugard and Havis discoveries.
Lundin, which holds 20 percent interest in PL533, explained that the main objective of the well was to prove the presence of hydrocarbons in the reservoir.
Eni Norge AS is operator of the licence with 40 percent interest. Other partners are Det norske oljeselskap ASA with 20 percent and RWE Dea Norge AS with 20 percent interest.
