EPA Holds Meeting on Ten-Mile Drain Cleanup (USA)

Today, at the St. Clair Shores Public Library, EPA will hold a public meeting on the cleanup status of the Ten-Mile Drain site.

EPA will discuss the results of their source investigation, which found high concentrations of PCB oil lying underneath four manhole vaults in the underground trench of the Ten-Mile Drain. These PCB concentrations could be re-contaminating the drainage system.

This will be an informal session where EPA personnel, state and local environmental experts and health officials will be available to talk one-on-one with visitors. No formal presentation will be given at the open house.

At this meeting, EPA representatives will give a formal presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
