A total of 140,500 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas has been loaded onboard the Arctic Discoverer that is set to deliver the load to the Bilbao LNG terminal in Spain, Equinor said in its statement.

With this cargo the plant has produced and delivered LNG at a value of NOK 130-150 billion ($12.9 billion – $14.9 billion) since it came on stream in 2007, depending on the prices achieved in the period. LPG and condensate from the Snøhvit field have also created considerable value, the company said.

Every fifth day a tanker arrives at the LNG plant for loading, while LPG and condensate are loaded around every third week, the statement reads.

Equinor has four LNG tankers at its disposal, which can reach most of the market in the Atlantic Basin in 20 days, and the markets in Asia via the Suez Canal in 25-35 days.
