Estonia Approves Gas Unbundling Law

The Estonian government approved legal measures for the unbundling of natural gas supply and distribution by 2015, the economy ministry said in a statement today.

Estonia depends on gas imports from Russia’s Gazprom and this measures will help operators of planned regional LNG terminals to provide alternative supplies.

Recently, Port of Tallinn and Elering signed cooperation agreement to begin preliminary studies for a LNG terminal at Muuga port.
