FJORD Arrives in South Korea for Gorgon Preparations

Fairstar said in a release that the FJORD, a semi-submersible heavy transport vessel,  has arrived in Okpo, South Korea today and will discharge the CLOV FPSO components on board at the DSME yard.

FJORD will then enter a dry dock facility nearby and prepare its wetsides, topsides and ballast tanks for Australian Quarantine compliance.

Willem Out, Chief Operating Officer at Fairstar said:”FJORD arrived at the DSME yard in Okpo today after a safe voyage from Angola. Once the FPSO components on board her deck have been lifted off, the FJORD will get ready for Gorgon. FJORD has been selected to transport the first modules to Barrow Island for Gorgon in May.”
