FLiDAR Reinforces Its Team with Three Engineers

Bruce Douglas, General Manager of FLiDAR said: “Based on recent commercial successes we are delighted to be able to grow the team with talented and experienced individuals. We aim to deliver better services to our clients and further expand in the growing offshore wind markets around the world.”

Jean Huvelle is the newly appointed Operations Manager. He is a mechanical engineer with experience in the offshore wind sector, previously working for the Belgian wind farm developer C-power. He organized and conducted maintenance interventions and brings a lot of knowledge regarding offshore logistics and HSE requirements.

Matthias Borremans, also a mechanical engineer, joined FLiDAR as Technical Manager. His role is twofold. He is in charge of data monitoring for the different operational projects, to make sure that wind data with high accuracy and availability, one of the strengths of FLiDAR, is delivered to the client on a daily basis. Secondly, he oversees the continuous improvement of the FLiDAR buoy by optimizing design, integration and choice of components.

Reinhardt Stevens fulfills the role of Commercial Manager, focussing on business development and client satisfaction. Internally he manages the business administration such as finances and legal issues. As the most senior of the three recruits he has numerous years of experience in the international offshore industry and more recently in wind farm development. Reinhardt holds a master in engineering sciences and is completing an MBA this summer.

FLiDAR is exhibiting at the Renewable UK Global Offshore Wind 2014 event in Glasgow June 11-12.
