Fluxys: Market Shows Keen Interest in Zeebrugge LNG Truck Loading Services

The market showed keen interest during the October – November subscription window for securing LNG truck loading services at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal from 2014 to 2023 included, Fluxys said in  a statement.

Roughly 1,850 loading slots were booked for 2014, which is more than double the forecasted 800 loadings for this year. Another 1,770 loading slots were booked from 2015 onwards.

The market was particularly pleased by the innovations to the LNG truck loading services, according to Fluxys. With the new 24/7 system as from January 2014 customers no longer will have to keep to business days and a 9 to 5 schedule for their loading operations. There will also be an on line tool available for customers to schedule their loadings and they can reschedule any slot until 11:00 CET the day before the initial booking. Through the on line tool they also have a quantity and quality report available straight after loading.

Through the subscription window Fluxys has welcomed five new customers for LNG truck loading services, bringing their overall number to about a dozen. The Zeebrugge LNG terminal currently has a capacity of 4,000 LNG truck loadings per year. All remaining slots are readily available on a first come first served basis.
