Fluxys’ nine months turnover drops

Fluxys Belgium, the operator of the Zeebrugge LNG terminal said its first nine months turnover was at €389.9 million compared to €399.7 million during the same period in 2014.

The 2.45 percent drop is mainly due to drop in sales of transmission capacity, the company revealed in a report on Wednesday.

Fluxys Belgium said it continued to invest in its LNG infrastructure with €148.5 million of its €192.5 million investment budget for 2015 spent on the construction of the second jetty for loading and unloading LNG carriers at the Zeebrugge terminal.

Part of the investment went into the construction of the fifth LNG storage tank at the Zeebrugge liquefied natural gas terminal as well as into the Alveringem and Maldegem pipeline, connecting the Belgium and French gas markets, which was commissioned on November 1.
