Forewind Releases First Annual Review (UK)

Forewind, developer of the Dogger Bank Zone, has published its first annual review, covering the consortium’s initial 18 months of activity since being awarded the offshore wind development rights for largest of the Round 3 zones by The Crown Estate.

The publication aims to summarise Forewind’s progress towards achieving its development objectives and marks a half-way point in the work towards submission of its first development consent application, for Dogger Bank Project One.

Forewind Chairman, Rt Hon John Gummer, Lord Deben says in the report that the organisation has already achieved a great deal but is determined to set the standards by which North Sea projects are judged.

Forewind seeks, by continuous innovation, technically excellent, sustainable solutions that will attract significant further investment, Lord Deben said.

Forewind General Manager, Lee Clarke said that over the past year, the focus has been on establishing Forewind, building a world-class team to deliver development consents for wind farm projects on Dogger Bank.

The Dogger Bank project is unparalleled in scale and the key to its successful delivery is to bring together all the necessary elements and resources,Dr Clarke added.

The Forewind Annual Review includes a summary of the organisation’s activities and achievements with a focus on key health and safety, operational, supply chain and grid.
