Four Companies Compete for Horns Rev 3 Construction
Danish Energy Agency (DEA) has received a total of four applications from companies that wish to prequalify for construction and operation of Horns Rev 3 offshore wind farm.
The deadline for submission of applications expired yesterday at 1pm, and the Agency will now review the applications and expects to announce the shortlisted bidders within a week.
Danish Energy Minister Rasmus Petersen welcomed the high interest of companies that decided to bid for the project, as there was only one bidder in the previous application process for another offshore wind project. “It will enhance competition and ensure that we get the offshore wind farm at the lowest possible price,” he said.
