Free-Fall Test for Valemon Platform Lifeboat

On Tuesday 9 April, 2013, the Valemon project operator Statoil and the supplier Umoe Schat-Harding (USH) carried out a successful full-scale free-fall test of a newly developed lifeboat to be installed on the Valemon platform.

The Valemon field is one of Statoil’s stand-alone development projects on the Norwegian continental shelf. Containing about 206 million barrels of oil equivalents the field will be produced through a separate platform.

Planned production start-up is Q1 2014.
