Freeport LNG picks new VP and marketing head

Freeport LNG on Friday named Bryan Frey as its vice president and global head of LNG marketing effective Monday, February 15, 2016. 

According to the company’s statement, Frey will be responsible for the ongoing commercialization and deal development Freeport LNG’s natural gas liquefaction and liquefied natural gas export project.

Freeport LNG liquefaction project includes the construction and operation of facilities on Quintana Island near Freeport, Texas with a nominal export capacity of 13.9 million tons per year. The addition of the fourth liquefaction train would increase the project’s production capacity by approximately 5.1 mtpa of LNG.

Frey brings over 25 years of energy and industry experience and joins Freeport LNG from Macquarie Energy where he recently held the role of commercial managing director, instrumental in leading the company’s global LNG initiative.

He also held positions with Constellation Energy, Marathon Oil, El Paso Global LNG, PG&E and KOCH Industries.
