GAC Group establishes dedicated LNG services team

The GAC Group informed it has formed a dedicated LNG services team to meet growing global demand for a wide range of specialised support services for gas carrier operations.

The team has been formed in response to the growing production rise, particularly in North America which also boosted the demand from ship owners, suppliers, buyers and receivers of LNG for dedicated expertise in the provision of specialized support services, GAC Group said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

GAC LNG Services will be headed by Bob Bandos, GAC North America’s Managing Director – Shipping, with the support of Howard Candelet, former Vice President for BG Shipping & Trading.

Although the company, headquartered in North America, will have a strong US focus due to the shale gas boom, Tim Karl, GAC North America’s Business Manager for LNG Services said the services will be extended globally.

GAC LNG Services will provide marine compatibility studies for LNG terminals and provide all pricing information as well as managing every requirement during the voyage and all port calls.
