Gallery: Fifth FPSO at Petrobras’ Lula field

Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has deployed another floating production storage and offloading vessel at the Santos basin, offshore Brazil.

The FPSO Cidade de Marica left the Brasa shipyard in Niteroi on December 19, and reached its offshore location at the Lula oil field on December 25. The 346.5 meters long Cidade de Marica is the fifth FPSO at the Lula field.

With capacity to process up to 150,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd), the FPSO is expected to start production in the first quarter of 2016.

The FPSO will be connected to ten producing wells and seven injection wells. Natural gas from the field will be exported to shore via a subsea pipeline.
