Gallery: Ovation of the Seas Arrives in Sydney

Sydney has welcomed Ovation of the Seas, the Quantum class cruise ship owned by Miami-based company Royal Caribbean Cruises.

The vessel’s arrival to Sydney marks its first summer season of Australia and New Zealand itineraries, according to the company.

Ovation of the Seas is said to be the newest and largest ship in the region, accommodating 4,180 guests at double occupancy and 1,500 crew members.

The 168,666 gross ton ship was delivered to its owner by German shipbuilder Meyer Werft on April 8, 2016.

The cruise ship was christened at the port city of Tianjin in northeast China on June 24 last year.
