Spanish LNG operator Gas Natural Fenosa has launched a new brand for its natural gas distribution business in Spain.

The new company called NEDGIA  has more than 5.3 million supply points and more than 51,000 kilometers of networks in 1,100 municipalities across Spain, according to a statement by Gas Natural Fenosa.

The company reflects the future of the energy sector, including new technologies, air quality and new uses of gas, the statement said.

The company noted that the brand change coincides with the entry of new partners into the company’s shareholders group. GNF is close to signing a 20 percent stake sale to a consortium of long-term infrastructure investors formed by Allianz Capital Partners (ACP) and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB).
