Gazprom, Eni bosses talk European gas supply

Russian Gazprom’s CEO, Alexey Miller, and his counterpart at Italy’s Eni Claudio Descalzi met on Monday in St. Petersburg.
During the meeting, the two CEOs discussed the dynamics of Italy’s gas market and the prospects of Italian and European gas supply from Russia, also from alternative sources, Eni said in a statement.
The two companies also confirmed their continued close partnership in the gas market and detailed discussions on infrastructure solutions and on gas supply for the European market from the south corridor.
In a separate statement, Gazprom noted that the company’s November gas exports to Italy rose by 36.5 percent year-on-year.
