Gazprom Export Sets Record in 2013 Gas Deliveries

In 2013, Gazprom Export showed a growth trend of OAO Gazprom gas sales. The overall supply growth reached 16.33 per cent, while gas supplies to Western Europe increased by more than 20 per cent.

Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom were the largest gas buyers in 2013 in Western Europe. Supply to Germany increased by 21% to reach 40.18 billion cubic meters. Italy bought 25.33 billion cubic meters, which is by 68% more compared to 2012. “Blue fuel” deliveries to the UK rose by half, reaching 12.46 billion cubic meters amid falling domestic production and LNG suppliers’ reorientation towards the Asia-Pacific market.

Total volume of natural gas supplied by Gazprom Export to Europe plus Turkey minus FSU states in 2013 amounted to 161.5 billion cubic meters. This is a historical track record in gas deliveries. In 2012, total gas sales volume amounted to 138.8 billion cubic meters.
