Russian gas giant Gazprom has signed a 1 billion euros ($1.19 billion) loan agreement with Japan’s Mizuho Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking, as well as US-based JP Morgan Chase Bank.

The loan signed in Tokyo on Tuesday has a five-year maturity, Gazprom said in a statement.
