Gazprom, Kuwait Discuss LNG Supplies

Gazprom’s CEO Alexey Miller and Abdulaziz Al-Adwani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Russian Federation, met on Tuesday in Moscow where they addressed the cooperation broadening as part of Gazprom’s LNG supplies to Kuwait, Gazprom said in a statement.

In 2012 natural gas production in Kuwait totaled 15.5 billion cubic meters, whereas the consumption reached 18.2 billion cubic meters. The shortage is met mostly due to the LNG imports.

Since 2011 Gazprom has supplied two LNG cargoes to Kuwait, according to the company.
