Russian giant Gazprom and Linde discussed the cooperation in the oil and gas sector during a meeting at the Gazprom headquarters.

The discussions between Gazprom’s head, Alexey Miller and Aldo Belloni, CEO of Linde focused on the construction of the Amur gas processing plant, noting the works continue on schedule.

The two companies also discussed cooperation in hydrocarbon processing, natural gas liquefaction, efficiency improvement at gas processing plants, localization of high-tech equipment manufacturing in Russia, and staff training and development.

Linde has recently been contracted to perform basic engineering for the process plant and supply the equipment and related bulk material for the cryogenic units for a mid-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Portovaya, located in Russia at the Baltic Sea.

The facility will have an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons of LNG and aims to bridge the gap between small and world-scale LNG projects.
