Gazprom, Shell begin talks over Baltic LNG

Oil and gas giant Shell and Russia’s Gazprom have reportedly entered talks over Baltic LNG in the port of Ust-Luga.

As Interfax informs, Gazprom’s chief executive Alexey Miller said commercial talks over the planned 10 mtpa project have started.

While delivering the project, Gazprom seeks to attract an investor or some investors with a view to acquire up to 49% in the project.

The project is expected to be commissioned in 2018 with a possible expansion that would increase the production capacity to 15 mtpa of LNG.
