Gazprom, Ukraine Talk Gas Debt

Gazprom’s Alexey Miller met on Monday in Moscow with Yury Boiko, Acting Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.

“The parties addressed the issues of operation in the winter period and repayment of the existing gas debt by Naftogaz Ukrainy,” Gazprom said in a statement.

Ukraine reportedly owes Russia about $3.3 billion in unpaid natural gas bills and may fail to pay on time for the gas delivered in 2013 and in January.
