GDF Suez Neptune unloads at Everett LNG despite winter storm

The 145,130 cbm GDF Suez Neptune arrived in Boston Harbor from Trinidad and Tobago last week.

The LNG tanker unloaded the cargo on Wednesday to warm some 30,000 New Englanders despite the pounding of a Top 5 winter storm, GDF Suez Energy Resources said in a statement.

This was the second cargo the vessel had delivered since early January to the GDF Suez LNG import terminal in Everett, according to shipping data.

Meanwhile at the Everett terminal, all back-up systems (generation, spare pumps & vaporizers) are available in the unlikely event they are needed.

The full operations, maintenance and security staff is on site and many planning to overnight in place, the statement added.
