GE Power Conversion Appoints President for China Region

GE announced today the appointment of Mr. Bo Liu as President for GE’s Power Conversion business in China. Mr. Liu was most recently the Regional Leader for GE Oil & Gas and has more than 15 years experience working for GE.

In his new role, Mr. Liu will oversee the development of long-term business and operational strategies for GE Power Conversion in the Greater China region. Mr. Liu brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience having held various leadership positions in GE China, including marketing development, cross business sales, customer CEO programs, government relations, Olympic verticals, and P&L leadership.

GE Power Conversion’s technologies are at the heart of the trend for developments that will be key to meeting China’s growing industry demands. Through partnerships with energy providers as well as working with shipyards to build the next generation of LNG tankers, GE’s solutions will provide improved energy outputs and efficiencies.

The headquarters for GE’s Power Conversion business are located in Shanghai along with their research and development center and a drives factory. Power Conversion also has a motor factory in Yantai, together with a sales center in Beijing and application engineering presence in Wuhan.
