Germany: Kaiserwerft Builds New Super Light Carbon Fiber Megayacht

Kaiserwerft Builds New Super Light Carbon Fiber Megayacht

In cooperation between KaiserWerft, Franck Muller Yacht Design & Engineering and Voith a new 45m project has been initiated. New Super Light Carbon Fiber 45mt of Kaiserwerft will use the revolutionary Voith Inline Propulsor System for a better efficiency and more economical cruise.

Exterior design and shape of the new model will be designed together by Kaiserwerft and Franck Muller; engineering and naval architecture will be made by Kaiserwerft in house. The yacht´s luxury interior design will be made by Franck Muller.

The semi displacement 45 m Yacht will be fully build in Kevlar and Carbon so the weight of the yacht will be optimized in a perfect way. The (electromagnetic) propulsion is powered by a Diesel electric system (Gen-Set) and new electric propellers from Voith Germany.

Due to the Diesel electric system there will be less fuel consumption, less pollution and reduction of sound, vibration. This will create a Green Star yacht with very low specific fuel consumption. The hull is completely thermo isolated for high energy efficiency. The yacht will have solar panels and battery pack for electric supply. For totally silent night hours the yacht will have an installation of Lithium Batteries. The hull and the windows are bulletproof.

The yacht will be build according to MCA Standards and German Lloyd Classification. The range of this revolutionary megayacht will be between 45 m and 85 m. Indeed – the first yacht build will be owned by Franck Muller.

As both of the partners, Kaiserwerft and Franck Muller are firmly convinced of this magnificent project, a serial production has started with this innovative special design of Franck Muller.
