Germany: TenneT Needs Underwater Ordnance Disposal Services

TenneT Offshore GmbH is seeking a contractor to provide underwater ordnance disposal services for an offshore wind farm. The work is expected to be completed by July 01, 2014.

The work covers evacuation of munitions along the proposed submarine cable route to connect the Nordergründe offshore wind farm.

The 28 km long route runs along the Seetrasse Territorial sea, starting from the Nordergründe offshore wind farm over the Weser Waterway and Jade (Jadefahrwasser) south to the landing point of the Hooksieler Port.

The recovery of the ordnance is to be undertaken in case of confirmation of suspected hazards.

Water depths range from 0 metres (dry case areas) to 25 metres, with substantial flow and extreme obstructions.

All measures for the efficient clearance are permitted (ground clearance, single point clearance etc.).

The deadline for the submission of tenders is March 14, 2013.
