The inauguration ceremony at the country’s port of Killini would see the ro-pax Fior Di Levante plug into the first shore power facility in the region.

Developed within the European co-funded programme elemed, the cold-ironing project in the port of Killini is expected to achieve a decline in air pollution, upgrade port facilities while paving the way for other Greek ports to become emissions-free hubs in the Eastern Mediterranean region.

Along with the opening ceremony, Killini Port Authority and elemed partners would host an event entitled ‘Eastern Mediterranean achieves reduced environmental footprint at the port of Killini’.
