The 7,506 TEU vessel departed after all necessary preparatory work was concluded.

The Post-Panamax boxship is anticipated to arrive at Halifax terminal, Nova Scotia, today, where it will discharge containers.

As previously noted, cargo will be delivered in the usual way under the relevant contract of carriage for all those who have arranged salvage and General Average security.

However, any cargo still being without security coverage at this point, cannot be forwarded to its final destination, according to the company.

To remind, the 2002-built containership suffered a fire in the North Atlantic, around 650 nautical miles off the Canadian coast on January 3, 2019.

In February, the 100,000 dwt boxship berthed in Freeport, Bahamas, to undergo the evaluation process and prepare for cargo discharge. Around 200 containers have been identified as a total loss.
