Hess Hires Supply Vessel from Jasa Merin

Jasa Merin, a subsidiary of SILK Holdings  has been awarded a contract by Hess Exploration and Production Malaysia B.V. for the provision of one unit of Straight Supply Vessel (“SSV”).

The contract is expected to start 1 September 2013. Hess will hire the vessel for a fixed term of three years. The oil company will have an option to extend the deal for a further one year period.

The value of the deal is estimated at roughly RM40 million (USD 12 Million) for the primary term.

Jasa Merin owns a fleet of 18 vessels. This consists of 3 Straight Supply (“SSV”) vessels and 15 Anchor Handling Tug Supply (“AHTS”) vessels. There are 3 more AHTS vessels which are now under construction and scheduled for delivery by 1H 2014.
