Hon. José Herrera Visits Malta Freeport Terminals

The Hon. José Herrera, Parliamntary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth, Hon. MP Silvio Schembri and Private Secretary Charlon Gouder visited Malta Freeport Terminal on Friday 30 May 2014. 

The contingent was welcomed to the facilities by Mr. Alex Montebello, Director Sales, Marketing, IT and Operations; Dr. Duncan Borg Myatt, Company Secretary, Director HR, Legal & Safety and Mr. Jason Montebello, Director, Finance, Purchasing and Administration.  Dr. Herrera was given a tour of the Operations Department where he was given a detailed description of the various facets pertaining to the Operations Department.

The group then proceeded to the newly extended Terminal Two North Quay berth in order to observe operations on the CMA CGM Pelleas.  He  underlined the Government’s commitment to the investment being undertaken by Malta Freeport whilst highlighting the strategic importance of Freeport, not only with local importers and exporters, but also within the Mediterranean region as a whole.
